Validation of error analyzer in surgical navigation systems using 3-D position sensor

摘要

Error analysis of surgical navigation systems, which integrate the real space with the virtual one using 3-D position sensor, has been studied in order to estimate the system accuracy. Experiments using phantoms need much time and sometimes cannot specify the error factor. Thus, the accuracy validation tool with the computer simulation, which is called "registration graph", has been proposed. We have extended it so that the graph includes the information of the system design in order to estimate the system accuracy more easily. To validate reliability of our error analysis tool, we compared the accuracy estimated by the tool to actual one in three systems.
