The present invention relates to a composition for alleviating skin wrinkles or enhancing skin elasticity and a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating acne containing a Sedum takesimense Nakai extract or a compound isolated therefrom as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a composition for alleviating skin wrinkles or enhancing skin elasticity and a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating acne containing: a Sedum takesimense Nakai extract; or one or more compounds selected from a group consisting of 4,6-di-O-galloylarbutin, 2,4,6-tri-O-galloyl-β-glucose, 1,2,4,6-tetra-O-galloyl-β-glucose, and salts thereof as an active ingredient. The composition contains a Sedum takesimense Nakai extract or a compound isolated therefrom as an active ingredient to be safely applied to humans, promote collagen biosynthesis of skin cells, inhibit expression of collagenase involved in collagen degradation, inhibit elastase activity involved in elastin degradation, have excellent effects in hyaluronate biosynthetic gene expression important in skin moisturization and hyaluronidase inhibition, and have estrogen receptor binding activity to exhibit excellent effects of alleviating skin wrinkles and enhancing skin elasticity. Also, the composition has excellent anti-inflammation and antibacterial activity against acne causing bacteria to effectively prevent, alleviate, or treat acne.
