The present invention provides a method for analyzing the size and copy-number abnormalities of circulating non-cellular DNA for cancer detection. The method includes parallel sequencing at a single base resolution in an entire genome manner. Plasma DNA molecules are additionally identified using chromosomal arm-level z-score analysis.
