The present invention provides a method for providing a data management service including an automatic cell merging function which indicates a data table in which automatic cell merge is performed about the same cell value by each column on a work page and a service providing server for performing the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for providing the data management service including the automatic cell merging function by the service providing server includes: (a) a step of receiving the data table in which multiple columns are arranged through the work page provided by a user terminal; (b) a step of determining whether the cell value of a first line and the cell value of a second line on a predetermined column coincide with each other based on the received data table and performing automatic cell merge work of merging a cell of the first line and the cell of the second line when the cell value of the first line and the cell value of the second line coincide with the each other; and (c) a step of providing the data table in which the automatic cell merge is completed to the user terminal and indicating the data table on the work page when the performance of the automatic cell merge work on the predetermined column is completed.
