Provided is a method for evaluating a performance of a biometric sensor comprising: a step of acquiring an input biometric image using a biometric sensor to be evaluated; and a step of calculating a quality score for the input biometric image by referring to a sample database including information on a plurality of reference biometric images. The quality score may provide an objective and a quantitative score for evaluating a biometric image.
