A method and an apparatus for reconstructing an image by using an extended neural network are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for reconstructing an image comprises the following steps: receiving an input image; and reconstructing an output image for the input image by using a neural network satisfying a preset frame constraint condition The reconstructing step includes the steps of: transforming the input image into signals corresponding to different frequencies; adjusting coefficients of the transformed signals by using a nonlinear function; reconstructing the adjusted coefficients; and inversely transforming all coefficients determined by using the reconstructed coefficients into the output image.
