The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory peptide scolopendrasin-9 derived from Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans, an anti-inflammatory composition comprising the same as an active ingredient, or a composition for treating sepsis. The scolopendrasin-9 peptide is effective in controlling various inflammatory responses such as inhibiting the production of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) or interleukin-6 (IL-6), and thus can be easily used as an anti-inflammatory composition and a composition for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases such as sepsis.
