A method for manufacturing a lithium negative electrode surface-treated with lithium nitride having a protective layer formed on a surface of the lithium negative electrode to enhance lithium ion conductivity and life characteristics of a battery, a lithium negative electrode manufactured thereby, and a lithium-sulfur battery comprising the lithium negative electrode. The method for manufacturing a lithium negative electrode surface-treated with lithium nitride comprises the steps of: a) dissolving an amine-based compound in an organic solvent; and b) supporting a lithium metal from which a surface oxide film has been removed in a solution in which the amine-based compound is dissolved to form a lithium nitride (Li_3N) protective layer on a surface of the lithium metal.
