A precursor for preparing a nanocomposite is prepared, including the reduced graphene oxide and a metal, wherein the metal in the precursor for preparing the nanocomposite is present as a metal hydroxide; and preparing a nanocomposite by sulfiding the precursor for preparing the nanocomposite in situ, wherein the nanocomposite is a reduced graphene oxide and a metal sulfide distributed on both sides of the reduced graphene oxide. A method for producing a nanocomposite comprising, a nanocomposite prepared therefrom, an electrode including the same, and a lithium ion battery including the same are provided.
