Disclosed are a three-dimensional reconstruction terrain matching method and an apparatus thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the three-dimensional reconstruction terrain matching method includes: a step of generating a point cloud based on a digital elevation model (DEM) from a satellite image; a step of generating a point cloud of a three-dimensional reconstruction terrain from an aerial image; a step of executing three-dimensional matching between the DEM-based point cloud and the point cloud of the three-dimensional reconstruction terrain; a step of generating a two-dimensional image of the satellite image in an area in which the three-dimensional matching is executed; a step of generating an orthoimage two-dimensional image of the three-dimensional reconstruction terrain based on the aerial image in the area in which the three-dimensional matching is executed; and a step of executing two-dimensional matching based on characteristic points of the two-dimensional image of the satellite image and characteristic points of the orthoimage two-dimensional image of the three-dimensional reconstruction terrain based on the aerial image.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
