DETECTING AN INACCURATE FLOW RATE MEASUREMENT BY A VIBRATORY METER

A method for detecting an incorrect flow measurement by a vibrometer is provided. The method includes flowing a fluid through a vibrometer and measuring the flow and density of the fluid with the vibrometer, and calculating the rate of change of the density of the fluid. The present invention also includes determining a comparison between the measured density and the density reference, and determining whether the measured flow rate is incorrect based on a comparison between the density variation rate and the density variation rate criterion.
