CS4 Novel Cronobacter sakazakii specific bacteriophage CS4 and antibacterial composition comprising the same

The present invention relates to a novel bacteriophage CS4 having specific killing activity to Cronobacter sakazakii; an antibiotic composition, a feed additive composition, a feed, a disinfectant, a detergent, or a food composition comprising the bacteriophage; a preparation method for Cronobacter sakazakii-free foods, comprising the step of treating a food with the bacteriophage CS4; and a method for preventing or treating infectious diseases caused by Cronobacter sakazakii, comprising the step of administering the bacteriophage to a non-human subject. The method for preventing or treating infectious diseases caused by Cronobacter sakazakii by using the bacteriophage CS4 shows extremely high specificity to Cronobacter sakazakii compared to other chemicals such as existing antibiotics, and the bacteriophage CS4 infects Cronobacter sakazakii and replicates within the Cronobacter sakazakii, thereby showing excellent bacteriolytic activity. In addition, the bacteriophage CS4 of the present invention does not infect other hosts than bacteria, such as humans, animals, and plants, and thus has the advantages of addressing the problems associated with antibiotics-resistant bacteria due to misuse and overuse of antibiotics, antibiotics remaining in foods, and a broad host range. Accordingly, the bacteriophage CS4 of the present invention can be widely used in the fields relating to the prevention or treatment method for infectious diseases caused by Cronobacter sakazakii in non-human subjects, antibiotic compositions, feed additive compositions, feeds, disinfectants, detergents, or food compositions.
