An embodiment of the present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a photocatalyst-deposited optical fiber, an optical fiber manufactured thereby, and an air purifier using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the manufacturing method of a photocatalyst-deposited optical fiber comprises: (a) a step of supplying power to a plasma generator; (b) a step of injecting an inert gas into the plasma generator; (c) a step in which the plasma generator generates and maintains an atmospheric pressure plasma; (d) a step of injecting a precursor comprising a photocatalyst into the plasma generator; and (e) a step of depositing the photocatalyst on the surface of an optical fiber with the atmospheric pressure plasma. In addition, it is possible to provide the photocatalyst-deposited optical fiber manufactured by the manufacturing method of a photocatalyst-deposited optical fiber. The air purifier comprises: an optical fiber on which a photocatalyst is deposited; a lamp emitting light onto the optical fiber on which the photocatalyst is deposited; an air sensor for measuring air; and a control unit controlling the lamps operation depending on the measured value of the air sensor.
