The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating migratory skin cell disease, containing a Spatholobi Caulis extract as an active component. The Spatholobi Caulis extract according to the present invention has the activity to proliferate melanoma cells and inhibit a survival rate of melanoma cells. In addition, the Spatholobi Caulis extract promotes the expression of tyrosinase of melanocytes to have the activity of promoting melanin production in the skin, thereby being able to be usefully used as the composition for preventing or treating migratory skin cell disease. Furthermore, the Spatholobi Caulis extract does not occur cytotoxicity and has no toxicity and side effects to a drug, thereby being able to be used safely even when taking the same for a long-term and having an effect of being stable in the body.
