The present invention relates to a photocatalyst consisting of a CuO-Pb_2O_3 nanocomposite comprising CuO and Pb_2O_3, wherein the p-n heterojunction is formed between CuO and Pb_2O_3; a method for preparing the same; and a wastewater treatment method using the photocatalyst. According to the present invention, the photocatalyst does not suffer a significant loss of initial photodegradation ability even though being repeatedly used, and thus may be advantageously used for various purposes such as wastewater treatment.
