Disclosed is a method for responding to a user inquiry by using a chatbot. The method comprises: a step where a receiving unit receives an input sentence including one or more words from a user terminal; a step where an intention group classifying unit classifies the input sentence as one among intention groups corresponding to actions related to insurance by natural language processing using a natural language processing artificial neural network on the input sentence; and a step where an answer processing unit generates a standard answer sentence for the input sentence based on the classified intention group.
