A microfluidic device for studying shear stress and transition in a microchannel comprises: a microchamber; the microchannel which comprises an inlet and an outlet for fluid and is formed around the microchamber to pass fluid around the microchamber; and a plurality groups of bridge channels connecting the microchannel and the microchamber at a plurality of locations among the microchannel, wherein a cross-sectional area of a bridge channel is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the microchannel.
