An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for optimizing a three-dimensional model library design for international standard products of a shipbuilding and marine field, comprising: a first step of setting and registering a three-dimensional model library content code system systematically classified by use and purpose of international standard products; a second step of setting and registering a product information database defined based on a reference for a parametric shape expression and a standard attribute of a product; a third step of specifying a code for the international standard products in a shipbuilding and marine field project according to the three-dimensional model library content code system when a user-set library design command is inputted; a fourth step of converting the international standard products according to the specified code into data for building a three-dimensional design system library according to three-dimensional model library design standard information preset according to the product information database; and a fifth step of building a model library optimized according to three-dimensional design system characteristics preset for the shipbuilding and marine field by using the converted data for building the three-dimensional design system library. Thus, a three-dimensional model library optimized for three-dimensional design system characteristics applied when a new project is contracted in the shipbuilding and marine field is constructed. In addition, the three-dimensional model library is accurately constructed in a short period of time by implementing a good system to meet infrastructure of a user and project conditions, and the like.
