The present invention relates to vocabulary and idiom teaching system using an initial consonant and a method thereof. The vocabulary and idiom teaching system comprises: at least one teaching terminal having a network connection function, providing a learner with a question of foreign language vocabulary and idiom in which the initial consonant in a native language is displayed, or transmitting set input information through the network; at least one learning terminal having the network connection function, being provided, from the teaching terminal, with the question of foreign language vocabulary and idiom in which the initial consonant in a native language is displayed, inputting meaning of the vocabulary or idiom of the provided question, or transmitting the information of the inputted vocabulary and idiom meaning through the network; and a vocabulary and idiom teaching server selecting a stored learner when the teaching terminal is connected, selecting a foreign language vocabulary and idiom displayed with the initial consonant corresponding to the level of the learner, and generating and storing a question such that the learner outputs the stored question to the learning terminal, inputs and transmits the vocabulary and idiom for the question to the learning terminal, compares and evaluates the transmitted foreign language vocabulary and idiom to distinguish correct answers, incorrect answers, and no answers, outputs incorrect and no answers to the learning terminal in order to review the foreign language vocabulary and idiom corresponding to the incorrect and no answers by selecting one among repetitive learning, associative learning and random learning, and stores solving results of incorrect and no answer questions and the original question solving results, and when reviewing in the learning terminal, a teacher sets the number of incorrect and no answers learning repetitions of the repetition and associative learning, and when random learning, sets answering display time of incorrect and no answers and the number of repetitions until answers of the correct and no answers are input. According to the present invention, learning efficiency of learners can be improved and teachers can easily manage learners.
