The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for negotiating an eSIM (eUICC) version. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a terminal for negotiating an eUICC version in a wireless communication system comprises: a transmission and reception unit; and at least one processor configured to transmit a first message for notifying at least one eUICC version in the terminal to a profile server, receive server version related information from the profile server in response to the first message, determine a version of the profile server based on the server version related information, transmit a second message requesting an event to the profile server, and control the transmission and reception unit to receive at least one of profile summary information or a profile remote management command from the profile server in response to the second message.
