Provided are an RF cavity filter strong to performance degradation caused by PIMD and an RF cavity filter manufacturing method. The disclosed method comprises: a step (a) of manufacturing a housing and a cover of an RF cavity filter; a step (b) of applying an external force to the cover to form at least one groove; a step (c) of locating at least one plate elastomer on each of the at least one groove; a step (d) of applying an instant external force to a side wall unit of the groove while the plate elastomer is placed, and forming a protrusion protruding from the side wall unit; and a step (e) of, after the protrusion is formed, performing a soldering coupling for the at least one plate elastomer placed on the at least one groove in the step (c). According to the disclosed filter and method, performance degradation can be prevented, which is caused by PIMD when small metal pieces generated in tuning fall into the filter. In addition, the filter can fix a tuning state without any nuts.
