Provided are an RF cavity filter robust against performance degradation due to PIMD, and a method for manufacturing the RF cavity filter. The disclosed method comprises: a step (a) for manufacturing a housing and a cover of an RF cavity filter; a step (b) for applying external force to the cover to form one or more grooves; a step (c) for positioning one or more plate elastic bodies in each of the one or more grooves; a step (d) for applying momentary external force to sidewall parts of the grooves while the plate elastic bodies are positioned in the grooves, and thereby forming hooks that protrude from the sidewall parts; and a step (e) for solder-bonding on the one or more plate elastic bodies, positioned in the one or more grooves in step (c), after forming the hooks. According to the disclosed filter and method, there are advantages in that performance degradation due to PIMD caused by small metal fragments generated during tuning falling into the filter can be prevented, and the tuning state can be fixed without using a separate nut.
