The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring optical characteristics which prevents errors in optical characteristics. The apparatus for measuring optical characteristics comprises: a tray accommodating a target and having a through hole on a center thereof, through which light propagates; an actuator arranged on a lower side of the tray to rotate the tray; a light reception measurement unit which is separated to be arranged below the tray, and analyzes the light propagating through the through hole; a vertical light source assembly which is separated to be arranged in an upward direction of the tray, and includes at least one light source arranged at a prescribed angle from a horizontal plane with respect to the target placed on the tray; and a control unit to control a light intensity of the light source. The control unit changes the intensity of emission light emitted by the at least one light source of the vertical light source assembly to control a quantity of reception light received by the light reception measurement unit to become a prescribed quantity of light.
