The present invention relates to an inertia test device for a model ship. The semi-elliptical rotor type inertia test device for a model ship has a semi-ellipse on an inner side of a fixing unit at a lower end. Also, a swing unit having the semi-elliptical outer side corresponding to the semi-ellipse is formed, and a semi-elliptical track is formed. Also, multiple rollers of fixed intervals are installed on the semi-elliptical track, and a model ship which is a subject to be tested is installed at an upper end of the wing unit so that the model ship is swung at a fixed inclination angle by a swing motion of the wing unit. The semi-elliptical rotor is installed in the lower part of the model ship, and, therefore, a rotation shaft is unnecessary. Also, the rotor supports the model ship, and a support frame is also unnecessary. Therefore, the inertia test device for a model ship does not need a space restriction problem and facilitates the work of moving and arranging the model ship. Also, the inertia test device for a model ship does not vibrate nor is it shaken when swinging. So, the inertia test device for a model ship can accurately measure inertia moment.
