According to the present invention, disclosed is a method for reverse engineering PIP information in an FPGA bitstream using RNN. The method for reverse engineering PIP information comprises: a PIP information restoring step of restoring partial PIP information by detecting a changing bit offset in a bitstream; an RNN learning step of learning a PIP sequence in a design data file from a recurrent neural network (RNN); and a PIP information reverse engineering step of inputting PIP information partially reversely engineered to the RNN learning model to reverse engineer PIP information which does not appear in the bitstream. A circuit signal flow can be detected, and verification and malicious function detection can be performed in the last step of which is the bitstream step.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
