There is provided a battery module including first and second battery cells. The battery module includes a first frame member having a substantially rectangular annular outer plastic frame and a first heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger includes first and second thermally conductive plates connected to each other to form a first flow path portion extending through the first heat exchanger. The first battery cell is located opposite the first side of the first thermally conductive plate. The second battery cell is located opposite the first side of the first thermally conductive plate. Further, the second battery cell is located adjacent to the first battery cell.
