LTE INTERFERENCE MITIGATION IN ASYMMETRIC LTE DEPLOYMENT

Interference mitigation solutions for interference experienced based on asymmetric uplink (UL) / downlink (DL) slot configurations are disclosed. Attacker / victim network entities are identified using measurement or static / semi-static means such that victim network entities that can be affected by interference from attacker network entity transmissions are identified. Intercell interference coordination (ICIC) mechanisms are extended to negotiate and resolve scheduling that intelligently mitigates interference that occurs in collision slots.
