Disclosed are a PLC remote controlling and monitoring system using a mobile terminal and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system comprises: a plurality of actuators performing an automatic process; a wireless magnetic sensor connected to the plurality of actuators; a PLC receiving state information of the plurality of actuators; and the mobile terminal generating monitoring information based on the state information received from the PLC. The method comprises: a step of allowing the mobile terminal to display monitoring information including a plurality of objects corresponding to the plurality of actuators; a step of receiving information for an actuator with malfunction among the plurality of actuators from the PLC; and a step of displaying malfunction information for an object corresponding to the actuator with malfunction among the plurality of objects by receiving the information for the actuator with malfunction. The present invention can maximize production efficiency.
