The present invention relates to a medium composition for detecting Campylobacter with improved sensitivity and selectivity, and a Campylobacter detection method using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a medium composition for detecting Campylobacter, comprising avibactam, and a Campylobacter detection method using the same. The Campylobacter detection method comprises the steps of: a) enriching and culturing a poultry rinsate; and b) streaking a solid medium prepared with the composition with the enriched culture fluid prepared in the step a) and culturing the same. The medium composition for detecting Campylobacter of the present invention, by containing avibactam, suppresses competing bacteria producing ESBL enzymes and thus can provide a medium composition for detecting Campylobacter having improved sensitivity and selectivity, a Campylobacter detection kit comprising the same, and a Campylobacter detection method using the composition. In particular, the avibactam of the present invention, since it can be contained in a smaller amount than other antibiotics included in the detection medium, is less likely to cause antibiotic resistance and thus can be extremely useful as a composition for detection.
