The present invention relates to a method for producing acerola fruit extract with little destruction of useful ingredients and to a cosmetic composition containing the extract prepared as described above. In particular, it was confirmed that acerola fruit extract having excellent antioxidant power due to low destruction of vitamin C could be prepared. As a result, the acerola fruit extract according to the nitrogen injection extraction process of the present invention exhibits an excellent anti-aging effect, anti-wrinkle effect, whitening effect, and anti-inflammatory (skin irritation) effect.
