FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of control of serviceability of diodes of excitation system of synchronous machines. Method of checking serviceability of diodes of excitation system of synchronous machines, consisting in use of certain conditional resistance R_cond, equal to the synchronous machine rotor excitation voltage ratio, measured in operation on the measuring contact rings, to excitation current excitation current measured in operation and comparison of this conditional resistance with corresponding value in obviously serviceable condition, wherein decrease of R_cond up to two times indicates breakdown (baking) of diode, insignificant reduction to 10 % testifies to breakage of one and more diodes.;EFFECT: technical result is simplification of control method of diodes of excitation system of synchronous machines.;1 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
