FIELD: mining.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be used in the open development of mineral deposits. Proposed method comprises overburden operation by long overburden cuts with displacement of overburden rocks in transverse direction to upper edge of non-working pit wall and laying overburden rocks with inclined layers into outer dump. At that overlapping rocks are poured into longitudinal dumping embankments with upper work platforms along external and internal longitudinal borders of external dump, forming a trench of overburden rocks with subsequent filling by overburden rocks above the level of upper slopes of its slopes, pouring off upper middle dump embankment with upper working platform.;EFFECT: increased productivity.;1 cl, 4 dwg
