Disclosed is an actuator for an actuation device of a friction clutch, the actuator having a housing in which at least one piston in the form of a piston slave and a second floating piston movably located thereon is axially movably mounted in order to convey a hydraulic fluid from a pressure chamber of the housing to a slave cylinder. The actuator has a reservoir chamber for the hydraulic fluid, the characteristic curve of said reservoir chamber being plotted at least partially above a clutch characteristic curve of the friction clutch.
