The invention relates to an unmanned aerial vehicle, UAV (410), in particular drone, comprising: an omnidirectional antenna (411), which is formed, radio signals (121, 122, 123) of a plurality of base stations (101, 102, 103) in the environment (421) of the UAV (410); a directional characteristic adaptive antenna (412) having a main beam direction (422), the main beam direction (422) being alignable with a base station (102) of the plurality of base stations (101, 102, 103); a controller (413) configured to select a particular radio signal (122) from the radio signals (121, 122, 123) of the plurality of base stations (101, 102, 103) received from the omnidirectional antenna (411) according to a selection criterion and align the principal ray direction (422) of the directional characteristic adaptive antenna (412) with the base station (102) associated with the particular radio signal (122); and a communication device (414) configured to establish a communication link with a serving base station (102) corresponding to the base station (102) of the plurality of base stations (101, 102, 103) to which the main beam direction (422) of the directional adaptive antenna (412).
