VASCULAR RE-ENTRY CATHETER

To provide devices and methods for treatment of associated vascular conditions by crossing a CTO lesion in a blood vessel by exploring the subintimal space in a more simplified procedure with a reduced error rate and reduced trauma to the blood vessel.SOLUTION: A catheter has a guide-tip including at least one wing for crossing a CTO lesion in an artery via exploring the subintimal space. The catheter can include one or more exit ports and radiopaque markers for steering a re-entry wire through one of the exit ports. The catheter may include a number of spiral-cut sections with varying characteristics to provide different strength and flexibility along the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
