PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polyester, an aromatic polyester liquid composition, a production method of an aromatic polyester film, and an aromatic polyester film.SOLUTION: The aromatic polyester comprises, as structural units, (A) a repeating unit represented by formula (a): -O-Ar-CO-, (B) a repeating unit derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and (C) a repeating unit derived from an aromatic amine selected from an aromatic diamine and an aromatic amine having a hydroxyl group, in which with respect to the total of the (A) to (C) repeating units, the content percentage of the (A) repeating unit is 10 mol% or more and less than 20 mol%, and the content percentage of the (B) and (C) repeating units is each over 40 mol% and 45 mol% or less.
