To provide an on-vehicle receiver which can select a suitable broadcast signal at a spot where a vehicle is running, without bidirectional communication.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle receiver 100 includes: an information receiver unit 102 which, based on a broadcast signal output from an electric signal acquired from an on-road antenna which directly receives a broadcast wave, receives station information and strength information by road-to-vehicle communication from an on-road detection device which generates station information, indicative of a broadcast station transmitting the broadcast wave having a radio wave strength enabling viewing, and strength information, indicative of the signal strength of the acquired broadcast signal corresponding to the broadcast station; a broadcast information update unit 104 which, based on the station information and the strength information received by the information receiver unit 102, updates broadcast information indicative of broadcast stations enabling viewing; and an on-vehicle signal acquisition unit 106 which outputs a broadcast signal from the electric signal acquired from an on-vehicle antenna 150 installed on a vehicle which directly receives the broadcast wave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
