To develop a new use of fish oil components, particularly a new use thereof on health promotion.SOLUTION: A composition for reducing trimethylamine N-oxide in blood serum, containing a component selected from mono-unsaturated fatty acid having 20 or more carbon atoms, salts thereof and esters thereof as an active ingredient; the active ingredient is derived from fish oil; and the fish oil is derived from saury oil.SELECTED DRAWING: None
