System and method for detecting delinquent behavior by an autonomous vehicle while driving

A method for detecting delinquent driving events is provided. The method comprises using a plurality of self-driving car (AV) sensors provided on the self-driving car to collect sensor data of the interaction between the AV and another vehicle. After collection, the collected sensor data is stored in memory and the delinquency driving signature is retrieved from memory. The method further comprises comparing the collected sensor data with the attributes of the delinquency driving signature by the processor to determine if a delinquency driving event has been detected. When it is determined that the similarity between the collected sensor data and the attributes of the delinquency driving signature exceeds a predetermined threshold, the method determines that the collected sensor data corresponds to a delinquency driving event. Depending on the detection, the method generates a delinquency event flag for the delinquency event.
