PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving oxidation resistance and reducing the amount of a methaneization catalyst used in a carbon dioxide storage reduction type catalyst which produces methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. A carbon dioxide storage-reduction catalyst that produces methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen uses a powder of a carbon dioxide storage material that contains magnesium and stores carbon dioxide, and carbon dioxide and hydrogen to produce methane. The powder of the carbon dioxide storage material and the powder of the methanation catalyst, including the powder of the methanation catalyst to be produced, are contained in the container in a mixed state.
