In a plant extract-containing beverage base according to the present invention, when the content of the water-soluble dietary fibers is X w/v% and the dilution ratio is M times, X/M satisfies 0.10-2.50, and when glutamic acid is G w/v%, G/M satisfies 0.00008-0.00087.
