PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of a plume during welding of a laser and arc hybrid welding.SOLUTION: A laser and arc hybrid welding head comprises: a laser head 5 which irradiates a welded portion 4 with laser beam; an arc-welding torch 6 which performs arc discharge between a wire 12 and the welded portion 4; a primary shield gas nozzle 7a which ejects primary shield gas 22; and a holder 9 which holds the laser head 5, the arc-welding torch 6, and the primary shield gas nozzle 7a by keeping a laser irradiation position, an arc discharge position, and a primary shield gas ejection position on a linear line. The holder 9 positions jet flow of the primary shield gas 22 at the position opposite to the arc discharge position sandwiching the laser irradiation position so as to hold a laser irradiation path 11 of the laser head 5 and a primary shield gas ejection direction of the primary shield gas nozzle 7a respectively inclined to the directions facing the extending direction of the wire 12 of the arc-welding torch 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
