An object of the present invention is to provide a composition useful for preventing or ameliorating hand-foot syndrome, which is a side effect of an anticancer drug. The present invention provides a composition for preventing or ameliorating hand-foot syndrome containing histidine, particularly a composition for preventing or ameliorating hand-foot syndrome containing 0.8 g to 5 g of histidine as a daily intake.
