A method of providing information from an operating apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: acquiring a first image information on a specific space; identifying a user based on the acquired first image information; identifying an item based on the acquired first image information; identifying a region corresponding to the user and a region corresponding to the item based on the acquired first image information; and determining whether the item is a belonging of the user based on the identified region corresponding to the user and the identified region corresponding to the item. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the likelihood of users losing their belongings can be reduced by identifying the user and the belongings of the user based on image information and providing related information to the user.
