the present invention provides a distribution or transfer conduit for conveying bulk material by gravity flow, comprises an elongated conduit shell that defines a flow path for said bulk material and a wear resistant liner arrangement that covers at least part of a flow path towards the upper side of the elongated conduit housing, said wear resistant liner arrangement comprising a perforated plate attached to the conduit housing and having a plurality of perforations through which wear resistant inserts, which comprise a body and an enlarged base, are fitted into the perforations from the side opposite the flow path, so that its body protrudes through the perforation within the flow path and its extended base is contiguous to the edges of the perforation from the side opposite the flow path on one side and its widened base is held in place by the conduit casing on the other side.
