reverse acting rupture disc and method of forming an opening line recess in a metal pressure relief device the present invention relates to a reverse acting rupture disc and methods of forming it. generally, the rupture disk comprises a domed portion and a circumscribed flange area surrounding the domed portion. the domed portion includes a mechanically formed opening line recess comprising a single channel. in some embodiments, the mechanical process by which the recess is formed uses a high speed milling machine which removes a portion of metal from said cambered portion of the disc without breaking the substantially uniform metallic granular structure of the metal adjacent to the channel.
