riser tension ring assembly and locking method of a riser tension ring assembly. a connector assembly (10) that can be used to connect a tension ring (10) to a telescopic joint (12) on a riser (14) by using a lower configuration of hydraulically actuated struts (18). a configuration of temporary abandon pins (20) hydraulically actuated on the connector assembly (10) can be used to connect the tension ring (10) to a disperser housing (24) mounted on a ring. to prevent accidental disengagement of the temporary abandonment pins (20), a hydraulically actuated clamping ring (40) is used to provide a fixed stop against the back of the temporary abandonment pins (20).
