The present invention relates to antibodies specifically bound to a type 1 plasminogen activator inhibitor ("PAI-1"). The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition encoding an anti PAI-1 antibody, a nucleic acid encoding the antibody, a recombinant expression vector and a host cell for preparing the antibody, or a fragment thereof. The invention also relates to a method for regulating PAI-1 activity with antibodies or detecting PAI-1 in vitro or in vivo. The invention also relates toA method for preparing the antibody, which specifically binds to PAI-1 with the active conformation state.
