The notification discloses (2E)-2 -[(6S,3R)-3 -methyl -2 -(propan -2 -yl)cyclohexylidene] ethyl butanide of model 1 used in the manufacture of perfumes, foodstuffs, cosmetic products.The scope of the notification is also the production (2E)-2 -[(2S,5R)-5 -methyl -2 -(propan -2 -yl) cyclohexylidene]ethyl butanide of model 1, consisting of (2S,5R)-2 isopropyl -5 -methylcyclohexanone, is reduced by using ethyl 2 -(diethoxyphosphoryl)butaniate as reagent and tetrahydrofuran as reaction medium,where the reaction is carried out in an ice bath and the solvents are evaporated after completion of the process and the product is cleaned using a column chromatography.
