New strain of Lactobacillus hilgardii FLUB bacteria and use of the strain for the production of mannitol

The invention concerns a new strain of the species Lactobacillus hilgardii FLUB deposited in the International Culture Collection of Small Business Cultures of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology in Warsaw under KKP 2067p. The invention also includes the use of the strain Lactobacillus hilgardii FLUB for the production of mannitol.
